DOCUMENTS

Please take note of page 10 of the document (download it here) which details all of the initial models considered for the 3 hospitals.

Southend is SUHFT
Basildon is BTUHFT
Broomfield is MEHT

Red is the specialist A&E with 24/7 blue light emergency care offered.
Orange is a ‘Part time hours blue light A&E’ – hours not defined by Success Regime Essex but presented as ‘daytime’.
Yellow is a ‘Local Emergency Centre’ which is for walk in patients and certain given ambulances with non-serious GP referrals. No blue light admissions.

At the NHS Rochford and Castle Point CCG public meeting on Tuesday 14th March 2017, a presentation given by Dr. Ronan Fenton from the Mid and South Essex Success Regime stated that options for hospital configuration had been narrowed down to option 1A and 2A with 2A being the most favoured option.

Option 2A details Southend as the ‘Local Emergency Centre’ and here lies the whole reason why we are campaigning.
